History of Bugatti



Bugatti family begins on to success of the father of the founder by the name of Carlo Bugatti, who’s known for his design on contributed art, and later got to fame – with the fame he become wealthy – Carlo Bugatti (1856-1940) born in Milan, Italy was a designer of Jewelry, Music, and Furniture. Especially known for his work in furniture, often usage are Woods and Cooper. Further later, Carlo Bugatti started to design Jewelry and music instrument. Carlo Bugatti’s achievements was winning an award in London at 1888, and later that year in 1889 got an award is a Silver medal in Paris.


In 1880s, Carlo Bugatti married to Teresa Lorioli together had two children Ettore Bugatti who’s the eldest and his younger brother Rembrandt Bugatti, who is an artist of Sculpture of Animals or wildlife. Rembrandt Bugatti (1884-1916) who become very interested in animals on the way of wildlife and knowing all of the animal names, in addition it become his passion on arts and adding the passion and loving on animals it become his business. In 1907, he moved to a place near to a zoo to study them and sculpture them by their habitats, in the way to present them in bronze Sculpture.


Unfortunately, Rembrandt Bugatti sadly died in 1916 at – young age of 32.


Ettore Bugatti, the founder of Automotive Bugatti – born (1881-1947) in Milan, Italy – founder of Bugatti automotive in 1909, beside that Ettore built it in his basement on his learning from the bicycle engineer.


Ettore Bugatti in 1898, he joined bicycle manufacturer in Milan, in Prinetti and Stucchi, where he built the first automotive of four engines tow on each side of axle which is motorize vehicle, which his talent evolve by building his own vehicle, since early teenage years and called it “Bugatti Type one” that’s only a prototype.


Carlo Bugatti, who’s the father of the Ettore, supported him with extra financial help, since he saw the automotive Bugatti evolution on vision for further later. Fast speed in 1909, where Ettore built his own automotive vehicle or prototype which registered and it’s considered to be his first independent design called type 10. Moreover, it holds the capacity of 1.2L 4-Cylinder and two seats that accelerate with its low weight to go superlight fast car at that time. Furthermore, he expanded to have his manufacturer were since begins, in order to achieve his dream on the side of automotive.


The first production car in Bugatti in 1910 that manufacture called type 13,

Type 13, is the first production which is a roster with two seats, it sold only on Europe and holds the engine capacity on front its natural aspirated 1.3L inline-4, 4 speed manual transmissions, and it drives rear wheel it produce at that time were not going over 100km/h, but Bugatti Type 13 doesn’t go over 100km/h, but some says its 97km/h.


In 1911, Bugatti entered in Le Mans grand prixe and Bugatti were new in racing on Le Mans in France Grand Prix, in order to make marketing strategy to increase the Bugatti name. Afterward, Bugatti got second place with the driver Ernest Friderich (1886-1954) on Type 13.


Then later Ettore Bugatti, in year where the world war one begin, so Ettore go ahead and built a plane’s engine to be prepared for the war in 1915. It called U-16, since engine capacity is 16 cylinders and tested also in 1916, and later times them called it “The king Bugatti engine U-16”.


After the first world war ended in 1918, Ettore continues afterward producing a phenomenal cars in the old location where Bugatti had started, even entering the Le Mans racing in 1920s by producing the lightweight cars and go ahead wining all three racing on le mans at 1920, 1921, and 1925.


In 1930, Ettore wanted to extend the production with rail car which called “Autorail”, which include the Bugatti engineering on engine; it was a successful engineering, but any way.


Jean Bugatti, born in (1909 - 1939) at Germany, who’s the eldest sons and the successor of his father’s Bugatti automotive manufacturer and designer and design the most beautiful Bugatti, in which built only 700 from the amount of orders becoming the success of Bugatti automotive called Type 57; from 1934 to 1940. It performance very smoothly and very fast, it hold the capacity of 3.3L inline-8 makes it a grand tour, engine produces 135hp.


This is the conclusion where the Bugatti begins to have a goal to be the fastest car in the world from Bugatti EB 110, Bugatti Chiron, and Bugatti Veyron until the other production in which continues to producing the most luxuries interior and exterior design in which continue the Carlo’s legacy and the fastest car in the world.
